This is a studio based course that is designed to introduce and develop basic film photography skills and techniques including; 35mm camera operation, black & white film processing and darkroom printing procedures. A brief history of the medium will be explored with the course emphasis being on the technical and aesthetic aspects as well as the basic elements of art and principles of design. Students are instructed on a variety of hands-on exercises, assignments and techniques to develop a body of work demonstrating their knowledge.
